Chris Coles, also known as Dolphin, was born and raised right here in the DMV. Currently in his 5th year, he is consistently finding ways to better himself as an artist. Proficient in many different style, Dolphin’s strongest point would be linework, making his favorite styles of tattooing Blackwork, fine-line work, sacred geometry, and traditional. Always confident in taking on new projects, Chris is confident that he would be able to turn your idea into a beautiful custom piece, personalized just for you.

DR. Z

Z was awarded a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Oregon in 2003 and a Doctorate in American Telepathy and Psychokinesis from Miskatonic University in 1896. With a particular penchant for color realism, cross-hatch, and indigenous designs, he is a Gentleman Scoundrel of the League of Sophisticated Degenerates, a Captain in the Aerial Navy for the Jeddak of Tharks on the planet you call Mars, and forever runs howling towards a sun as black as sackcloth and a moon as red as blood.​

Simba Nguyen

Simba is a DMV native who moved to California to pursue tattooing and now she’s back and ready to lay down some forever art for you folks. Shes early in her career but very eager to learn and constantly progressing as an artist. Her artwork stems from her east asian background along with other cultural influences around the world. She enjoys tattooing all things nature, ornamental, geometric, and fun. Although she has her preferences, we dare you to test her mind and see what magic she creates for you.

KEN
TUES-WED
Ken is an artist born in Bronx, New York and raised in the DMV. Fresh into his tattooing career and up to par, Ken came to Hyena Tattoos as an apprentice and soon surpassed all expectations. His primary focus in the craft is a neo-traditional approach inspired by classic tattoo flash, Japanese art styles, and floral work. He loves doing custom one of a kind artwork and designs in color and black & gray. Furthermore, Ken is a great guy and has a heart of gold. He has an eclectic skill set and technique ready to do make any vision a reality and a one of a kind masterpiece.

AFTERCARE
Tattoo Aftercare

​We recommend that all clients purchase Tattoo Ointment at the shop
-
Leave the bandage on for at least two hours
-
When you take the bandage off, wash your tattoo with soap and warm water then pat dry with a towel
-
After washing, apply a thin layer of Tattoo Ointment two to three times a day for two weeks
-
Blot or wipe off excess ointment/ so you only have a thin layer on your tattoo, more is not better
-
Apply ointment as described two or three times a day until it is healed. Healing takes about two - three weeks
Do not go swimming for at least 2 weeks. Do not scratch or pick your tattoo. Do not shave soak,, go to the tanning bed, or sunbathe until your tattoo is healed. Please avoid gardening and animals. We offer complimentary touch ups if needed within the first month.
